Close on the heels of our earlier report about the Nokia Sun (yes, the same device which was earlier named Sea Ray), the official images of the rumored smartphone have surfaced. As reported by Pocket Now, these new images seem to be a part of a new advert or similar marketing plan for Nokia. Also, there’s a distinct possibility that the phone will go by the name of Nokia 800, as can be seen from the text in the images. While we’re playing around with codenames, we’ll just throw in a few more like Sabre, Ace or Lumia that Pocket Now claim the phone might just be called. Another possibility is that Nokia will launch not one, but a handful of WP7 handsets for different tiers in the market.
A potential ad for Nokia Sun?
The ads seem to portray the ‘tiled’ interface that will be an integral part of Windows Phone 7 and from what can be seen, it looks like Nokia is emphasizing the simplicity of the new Nokia Windows Phone 7 phones. As a reminder, the leaked specs of the Nokia Sun / Nokia 800 show a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, Windows Phone Mango 7.5, 1.4GHz processor and 16GB of inbuilt memory. Nokia World is a few weeks from now and we’re pinning our hopes on the new smartphone(s?) to make a substantial impact. What are your thoughts?
