Spotify is testing a feature that will let users mute and block artists: Report

**Spotify** is reportedly testing a new feature which will allow users to block any artist of their choice on the music streaming platform. Users will finally be able to say goodbye to artists that make their ears bleed. According to a report by Thurrott, the publication which first spotted and has tested the feature, the user will be able to block music by any artist throughout the app ranging from the personal library to curated playlists and even global charts. The feature comes as Spotify has been under immense pressure to block American musician R Kelly after the #MuteRKelly protests online. Robert Sylvester Kelly has been subject to numerous allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct. Spotify hasn’t been launched in India yet. However, the music streaming platform is **expected** to finally make its official entry into the country this month itself, on 31 January. The news comes right after the  **announcement**  that Spotify and  **T-Series** , film and music company in India (which is battling with PewDiePie for the top channel spot on YouTube) had collaborated where-in Spotify customers will be able to access to T-Series’ entire catalogue of Indian music, including regional, Bollywood and songs.
