Splinter Cell 6 Emerges From the Shadows

Even though Splinter Cell Conviction spent an obscene amount of time in development, it wasn’t all that great. While we enjoyed the game ourselves, we honestly don’t think it lived up to the high standards set by Chaos Theory, something most Splinter Cell fans will agree was the best in the series.

But like any self respecting cash cow, the Splinter cell series is now back for yet another iteration, only this time it’s being helmed by the beautiful Jade Raymond. In case your memory fails to serve you, she’s the face that headlined Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed.

Yeah, she makes games for a living.

So anyway Ubisoft have assembled a team of over 83 people to work on this game, many of which already worked on Conviction. These include concept artists, animators, audio directors and more working hard on Sam Fisher’s next outing as we speak. I’m guessing the game will follow the kinetic and gritty flow introduced in Conviction where Sam was portrayed as a predator rather than some archaic spy who spends an hour stalking his prey in the shadows.

Where will Sam Fisher go from here?

Except for the announcement pretty much nothing has been said about the game but we’re expecting a full/partial reveal at E3 2011 or the upcoming Spike VGA awards.
