SpaceX's Dragon Can Take Astronauts to Space

SpaceX was last in news when it announced the launch of the world’s most powerful rocket, Falcon Heavy. A revelation this time, SpaceX revealed that its Dragon capsule, yes, the very same one that was in a contract with NASA to carry supplies to the International Space Centre.

SpaceX founder, Elon Musk now claims that the Dragon can also carry astronauts to outer space and back to Earth. In a detailed statement, Elon Musk along with NASA stated that the Dragon capsule was capable of making a safe landing on any planet with pinpoint accuracy, and that it could carry astronauts onboard, too. The latest version of the Dragon, very recently made a test flight wherein it, very successfully flew to the orbit and back. What is almost a $75m deal; SpaceX’s Dragon ambition just lacks the launch abort systems which is highly crucial to the manned space missions.

Still short of being a decade old, SpaceX has been rapidly progressing from the time it began sending only unmanned space ships to claiming the Dragon’s wondrous capabilities.
