As most of you recall a week ago we reported about Sony restoring the PlayStation and Qriocity network within the week; however a week has gone by and still no restoration for most of the global users. On Sony’s PlayStation Blog, Patrick Seybold, Senior Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media posted another update regarding the status of the network restoration.
Sony misses date to fix PSN
He states that they have begun the process of restoring the service through internal testing of the new system as well as working to confirm the security of the network infrastructure. He goes on to say that when they held the press conference in Japan, they had not fully understood the extent of the attack and that they were taking this opportunity to conduct further testing of the incredibly complex system.
He further goes on to apologize again for the delay in restoring the network and also understands that the users’ wants to play online games and enjoy all of the PSN and Qriocity services. He stresses they were doing everything they could to restore the networks.Thank you for the apology Sony, but we would really like to know for sure when the network will be back up?
