Sony Brings the PlayStation App to Android and iPhone

Sony have taken a thoughtful step for their users and fans. They’ve brought the PlayStation app for the iPhone and Android phones and the app has got some good stuff to offer. You can chat with your friends online on the PlayStation network and show-off the trophies you’ve earned there.

You can check out any new games, hardware and news related to the PS3, PS2 or the PSP on your phone, which means you can get updates on latest games while on the go. This app also lets you check the European PlayStation Blog for any announcements. If you find something interesting that you wanna share with your friends, there is also an option of sharing stuff on Facebook and Twitter or via e-mail.

Turn your phone into a PlayStation

The problem for now is that the first version, v 1.0, is being launched only in the following countries: UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands. So if you’re anywhere else, chances are you might have to wait a little longer to access the PlayStation app.

The app is free to download but has not gone live as of yet. You can read more on Sony PlayStation's official blog post.
