Snapchat adds 60-second multi-snap videos feature in its Android app

Snapchat has released an update for its Android app which allows users to record 60-second multi-snap videos. Before this, users were only allowed to record and share 10-second videos. The company already rolled out this feature for Snapchat on iOS devices a couple of months ago. [caption id=“attachment_1320855” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] The Snapchat logo. AFP[/caption] The feature works when the user holds the record button for more than 10 seconds after a which a window will pop open at the bottom telling the user that the maximum length of the video has reached. However, it will keep on recording and make 10-second videos which will be shown at the bottom until a maximum of 6 is reached. The report by Android Police claims that user can then delete any video they don’t like from the 6 videos and also make edits to any of the videos in all the usual ways. Once the edits are done and users are happy with the selection of videos that they recorded, they can simply choose any or all of the videos and share them with their friends or put them up as their Snapchat story. This update comes right after  **Snap Inc** , the parent company of messaging and video app Snapchat, and NBC Universal launched a joint venture studio on 24 October to produce scripted shows and other genres to air on Snapchat. The two companies have already produced at least three shows for Snapchat in an effort to reach more viewers as mobile audiences continue to grow. The shows produced include a daily news show called Stay Tuned and an entertainment show from E! network called The Rundown.
