Last week Bethesda released the Creation Kit for PC users who in under a week enthusiastically clocked nearly two million downloads for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In case you haven’t updated your PC version of Skyrim recently, the Creation Kit allows PC gamers (via Steam) to use a complex set of tools to design free mods that can be then shared with the community. I think it’s safe to say it’s been a raging success.

This is a testament to the dedication of PC gamers and the popularity of Skyrim, the only other game on Steam that went toe to toe against Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 last November. In that same report, Bethesda also let Gamasutra know that an average PC player has clocked nearly 75 hours in Skyrim. I’d have to agree with those stats since most people I know have breached the 100 hour mark in their first play through.
