The new phones will feature a clamshell design and will come in range of colours. They will also be packed to the hilt with features. The Sharp Aquos Hybrid 007SH will be the world’s first clamshell phone to run Android (2.3 Gingerbread). It will also have a 16 megapixel camera with the capability to record in 720p and will also be waterproof.

The screen is 3.4-inches in size and will have a resolution of 854 x 480. To notify the user of calls and other information the clam-shell will have an OLED screen. Other features include a built-in TV tuner, a infrared port, digital wallet functionality as well as a micro HDMI port.

Sharp is yet to mention the prices on the devices and nor has it confirmed as to when they will go on sale. But we are anxiously waiting for the devices to hit shores as the idea of using a clamshell Android phone seems really cool to us.
