Close on the heels of the world's biggest consumer electronics festival - CES 2014 - Samsung has announced its latest compact system camera - the NX30. Samsung's NX series of mirrorless cameras have been around for a while now and with the NX30 Samsung aims to give a more speedier and connected offering.
Sporting a 20.3MP APS-C CMOS sensor along with the Samsung NX AF System II, the NX 30 boasts of a fast shutter speed of 1/8000th of a second and a 9 frames per second continuous shooting mode. On the rear side it features a 3-inch Super AMOLED screen, which is touch sensitive and can swivel, having a 1.037 million dot resolution.
Samsung NX30 also features a tiltable electronic viewfinder having a 2359K dot resolution. Other features include ISO range going from 100-25600, built-in OIS Duo technology, full HD 1080p/60fps video capture, 3D capture using Samsung's 2D/3D lens, Wi-fi and NFC.

The NX30 bundles in some smart connectivity features as well. For instance, the Tag & Go function lets users tap and share memories instantly and easily, pairing the NX30 with NFC enabled smartphones and tablets.The Photo Beam feature allows the transfer an image or video to a smartphone or tablet by simply touching the two devices together with no other configuration needed. MobileLink lets users select multiple images to send to four distinct smart devices at one time. AutoShare automatically sends every photo you take instantly to your smartphone or tablet and the Remote Viewfinder Pro function enables several controls of the NX30 from a smartphone, allowing the user to zoom and snap shots remotely yet still have full visibility of the scene, opening up new photographic possibilities. Manual settings can still be accessed, including shutter speed and aperture, so that photographers can retain camera control yet have another option as to how they want to frame their shot.

Samsung also announced two new lenses along with the NX30 namely the professional grade 16-50mm F2-2.8 S ED OIS Lens and the regular 16-50mm F3.5-5.6 Power Zoom ED OIS lens.

No details on the pricing of the NX 30 or the new lenses was annonuced. Guess we will have to wait for CES to get an idea of the pricing.
