As expected, Samsung has announced the Galaxy J smartphone for the Taiwanese market, after first launching it in Japan, earlier this year. Based on the Galaxy S4 with an updated design and a flatter profile, the Galaxy J will be available at 21,900 NTD (approximately Rs. 45,356) without contract. The smartphone will be available in red and white colours in Taiwan, while another Blue variant will be a Japan exclusive. The phone will reportedly (Chinese website) be in stores by late December or early January.

Up front there’s a 5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display and on the back is a 13.2-megapixel rear camera with BSI CMOS sensor and LED flash. The secondary camera on the front is a 2.1-megapixel affair.
