Samsung Unveils Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Gio and Galaxy Mini Phones

Some time back there was talk of Samsung showcasing their Ace, Suit and Mini phones at the MWC this year. According to GSMArena, there are also a couple of new phones that will be joining them. Called the Samsung Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Gio, these phones could hit the market pretty soon. Let’s take a look at each of these, one at a time.

Go Gio?

The Galaxy Gio S5600 is a smartphone priced lower than the mid-range Ace. The CPU clocks in at 800 MHz and some more features of the Gio are as follows:

  • 3.2-inch HVGA TFT Screen
  • Wi-Fi, 3G, A-GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • 3 Megapixel camera with fixed focus

Fit and ready for launch

Coming to the Galaxy Fit S5670, which was previously called Suit, it is an entry-level phone. The processor is not too fast at 600 MHz but here are other features:

  • 3.31-inch QVGA LCD Display
  • Wi-Fi, 3G, A-GPS
  • Bluetooth
  • 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus

Mini-g the Galaxy

Finally, there’s not much to speak about the Galaxy Mini apart from the fact that it shares the same CPU as the Galaxy Fit. The display is a 3.14-inch QVGA screen. The phone also offers connectivity through Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth.

All these phones will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo and should be out in the first quarter of this year.
