Offers Full HD video output capabilities
Recently, during the ongoing Samsung Forum 2013, Samsung announced the NX300 camera for India. The biggest feature of the camera is that it is capable of 3D photography. The camera was unveiled during CES alongside the NX 45mm F1.8 2D/3D lens—a one-lens 3D system capable of capturing both still images and full HD movies.
The NX300 features a new 20.3-megapixel APS-CMOS sensor, an ISO range of 100 to 25,600 and a new Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) system. It also has a maximum shutter speed of 1/6000 and a top speed of 8.6fps for JPG bursts.
According to Samsung, the camera's in-house DRIMe IV engine enables better colour reproduction and greater noise reduction, as well as support for full 1080p HD video capture in both 2D and 3D, especially when combined with a 45mm 2D/3D lens.
The NX300 is equipped with a 3.31-inch AMOLED screen for reviewing images and a hybrid touchscreen, along with a 5-way manual key interface. The display can be tilted, which will make it easy to take high and low angle shots.
While it doesn’t have Android, the NX300 is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity and can share images with iOS and Android devices via the Smart Camera App. The camera’s one-touch Direct Link hotkey is supposed to make sharing images on social networks easy. Alternatively, images can be automatically backed-up or stored in the cloud through AllShare.
The 45mm 2D/3D lens boasts it is the "world’s first" one-lens, 3D system for a consumer camera. Both the camera and the lens are capable of capturing both still pictures and full 1080p HD video, and are apparently the only compact system camera supporting both 3D still and 3D video capture.
