Samsung Set to Impress with World's Lightest 3D Glasses

So you say you want to look cool while watching a 3D flick? Fret not, for Samsung is here to save the day with the world’s lightest 3D glasses. Not only are these glasses super-light, but also look so much cooler than the regular glasses available in the market today. They look like normal sunglasses with a strap which goes around the back of your head for support. OLED Display reported that Samsung plans to show off these lightweight beauties at CES 2011, which is only a couple of days away from now.

Siick, light and stylish

These glasses weight in at just 28g and have been made in collaboration with Austrian glasses maker, Silhouette. The weight of these glasses has been reduced by around 10g and they can be adjusted to fit adults and children alike. These glasses have some more killer tricks up their sleeve such as wireless charging, an auto on/off function and the ability to attach to lenses for users that need to wear spectacles.

Looks like Samsung is on a roll this year, as they’ve already announced the launch of some other cool products such as the world’s slimmest Blu-ray player, their bending AMOLED screen and their transparent AMOLED screen which provides super-high reolution. So you can say that this pair of designer 3D glasses is just another feather in their cap.
