Samsung reported to be launching two more variants of the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone

Samsung recently launched the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8+. Samsung is now expected to launch smaller and more rugged versions of the phone. According to a report on BGR the phones might be called Samsung Galaxy S8 mini and the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active.

The mini model will refresh our old memories of Samsung Galaxy Mini phones. Samsung used to bring low-priced Samsung mini models such as Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy S4 mini and Galaxy S5 mini.

The upcoming Samsung S8 mini is expected to have similar specification as the Samsung Galaxy S8 variants. According to the report the phone will feature a 5.3 inch all-screen design and will be comparable to a smartphone with a sub 5 inch screen such as Appple's iPhone SE. The Mini S8 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and a 12 MP camera with iris recognition support. The phone will be packed with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The launch and cost of the phone has not been mentioned, but the phone is expected to launch in South Korea first.

According to another recent report Samsung has mentioned the first official details about the Galaxy S9 smartphones. The report mentioned that the upcoming phone will use both  Qualcomm’s 7 nm and Samsung’s 8 nanometer chipsets.
