Samsung Launches Development Forum for Android

Samsung today announced that is starting a forum for Android developers. The website, which can be visited here contains the latest development kits, updates for hardware and software as well as tutorial videos for budding developers. One of the most interesting features is the ability to compare even the minutest specs and features of Samsung's phones, which should serve as a very good tool for developers and potential customers alike.

It also includes a discussion board where Samsung will give out expert advice and support to the developers, which will ensure that they are always up to date with knowledge needed to create Android services for Samsung Devices such as the Galaxy Tab and smartphones.

In a statement, Kang-hyun Kwon, Senior Vice President of the Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics said: “Samsung’s Android Developer Forum enables Android developers all over the world to broaden their scope and achieve even higher levels of quality when designing for Samsung’s Android-based devices, while customers will continue experiencing high-standard Android applications available from Samsung Apps, our application store.”

In addition to the above, the Developer forum will also offer development tools such as SDK plug-ins for Augmented Reality and Location Based Services. It will also offer a Sensor Simulator as well as a Remote Test Lab, which will allow developers to test their applications remotely on a real device which will be controlled by Samsung.
