Samsung is having a press conference in India tomorrow, and although we have no idea about what products are going to be launched this quarter, there's a good chance that we might see the Galaxy Note tomorrow. The Note was announced during the IFA 2011 in Berlin, earlier this year and the main USP of the device was the massive 5.3-inch screen and the advanced S-Pen interface that is useful for taking notes.
Galaxy Note India launch tomorrow?
Here are the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note:
- 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED WXGA Capacitive touchscreen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution
- 3G, EDGE/GPRS, Wi-Fi
- GPS with A-GPS support and Google Maps
- Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, USB 2.0 HS
- 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording
- Stereo FM radio with RDS
- Memory expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card
- 3.5 mm handsfree socket
It seems that Samsung is trying to bridge the screen size gap between phones and tablets with the new Note and Galaxy Tab 7.7 and its good that, with these display sizes, users can get a variety of options over which size suits them the best. The company had already mentioned that the Note would be launched in Europe in October and the rest of the world by November. And, if that indeed is the case tomorrow, it’s nice to see them keep their word. Perhaps, we might just even get a glimpse of the Galaxy Tabs viz. the Tab 7.7 and the earlier one, the Tab 8.9.
