We already had rumors of the Samsung Galaxy S2 launching at the Mobile World Congress; it later followed by a picture of the phone as well. While the phone is still launching next month, it looks like it won't happen at the MWC, rather it’s most likely to launch at the Samsung Event on the 13th of next month.
The event invitation talks about an evolution in Samsung Mobile. There’s a picture of the Galaxy S on the left and on the right, there’s a mysterious phone emitting light and a caption that reads “Evolution is Fate”. The plaque below the phone says, “Barcelona 13.02.2011”. In other words, the invitation clearly hints about the Galaxy S “evolving” or having a successor.
Although there’s still no word on the specs of the phone, we’ve only got to know that it might be running Gingerbread on a dual-core processor. The phone will also have a Super AMOLED Plus Display.
Well, it’s quite possible that we get some info about specs from Feb 1st onwards (the invitation talks about a preview teaser). With Sony Ericsson also holding an event on that date, we might see some sparks fly on Feb 13th.
