The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series may not have broken sales records but there’s no denying the fact that they pack in oodles of atmosphere. Roaming around the zone at night all alone was a terrifying experience few open world game managed to emulate. And now after a prequel and an expansion pack of sorts, developer GSC Game World are back with a full-fledged sequel.
GSC Game World have been entertaining certain fan based queries pertaining to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on their Facebook page and through that, some interesting information has emerged. For one, even though the game’s coming to consoles, the PC version won’t be dumbed down. In fact GSC claim the game will look far superior on PCs. The faction system - that played a bit role in Call of Pripyat - has been axed and "survival elements" have also been significantly beefed up. And most importantly, the game will feature an all new engine, a new plotline and a new protagonist in addition to newer weapons and mutants.
