Apple has a tradition of unveiling their flagship products at San Francisco. To date, all their iPhones and iPads were announced in San Francisco. However, according to an exclusive report by AllThingsD, the media event, which is scheduled to be held on the 4th of October this year, is rumoured to be taking place at Apple’s campus in Cupertino, California.
iPhone media event to take place at Cupertino
According to a related report by CNET, the reason for this different venue is likely due to the fact that the October 4th media event is said to be clashing with Oracle's OracleWorld confab, which is taking place between the 2nd and 6th of October. The highlighted features of this media event are that this will be the first Apple media event that is going to be solely presided over by the newly appointed CEO, Tim Cook. The other highly anticipated reason for the October 4th event is that the next generation of Apple’s iPhone will be announced.
So, this looks like the speculated announcement date of the next generation iPhone is appearing to be true. As of now we have to just wait and watch to see how all these rumours and speculations pan out. As usual, we will continue to keep you informed if any more information is revealed.
