Over the last few days, images of the HTC Desire C have been popping up and have been all over the Internet. The handset had been captured in the wild on more than one occasion. The last we had heard about this handset was when it was captured in a drawer of what was believed to be an office of Orange Romania. The folks at Orange had also put the image up on their official website, which confirms that the handset will be launched in the near future. The leaks have not stopped trickling in, and this time around, according to a report by GSMArena, the first official press shot of the handset has been included in the May catalog of Vodafone Portugal. What comes as a surprise is that this handset hasn't even been officially announced, yet and the handset has already made its way into the catalog, thus leaving nothing to one's imagination to decipher as to when HTC will officially take the wraps off this handset.
Will the HTC Desire C be announced soon?
As per the report, “The catalog also sheds some light on the specs of the device. Here's what we have confirmed for now: The HTC Desire C has a 3.5-inch screen with 320 x 480 resolution and runs on a 600MHz processor. Connectivity-wise it's 3.5G, whatever that means, but we're guessing it's HSDPA. The handset also has 4GB of internal memory and a 5MP camera. But most importantly, this low-spec'd device will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich.” These specifications had been expected since the handset made its first appearance in a blurry cam shot although this time it can be confirmed that it will run on a 600MHz processor.
Here is a quick look at the specifications of the HTC Desire C:
