Sony Ericsson has a tradition of releasing stylish looking handsets and with their upcoming handset, titled Sony Ericsson Nozomi, the case seems no different. Last month, leaked images of the handset was captured in the wild and from the pictures, the upcoming handset appears to be quite a good looker. This time around, a Chinese forum has revealed an actual press image of Sony Ericsson’s upcoming flagship handset.
Press shot or image mock up?
In a related report by phoneArena, the website states that Nozomi or LT26i could actually be the codename for the handset and from the image above we can see that the words above the handset indicate something else. From the image we can see the word dual written alongside it, indicating that it may run on a dual-core processor. Below is a quick look at the possible specifications of the Sony Ericsson Nozomi, which were leaked earlier when the handset was caught in the wild.
- Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread
- 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720
- 1.5GHz dual core processor
- 1GB RAM
Other than the information mentioned above, there is very little known about the Nozomi. The handset is set to make an official appearance at MWC in February 2012 and judging by this timeline, we could expect it to feature Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. This image could possible be a mock-up and should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it appears to be really well done and hopefully this is what Sony Ericsson actually plans to launch, come February.
