Pinterest updated to introduce more useful pins

Pinterest has pushed an update to its service to make pins more useful, while also making it easier to pin regardless of the user's location.

In a blog post, Anna Majkowska, Software Engineer at Pinterest, says that they have worked with a host of known websites to bundle more information on some pins so users can do more of what they like to do. Thanks to the update, users now have Product pins for products like clothes, furniture that is complete with pricing, availability and the location of its availability (updated every day). For those who love cooking, there are Recipe pins from users' favourite blogs and websites – complete with cooking time, ingredients and servings. For the movie buff, there are Movie pins that come with content ratings, cast members, among other details.

Users can spot pins with more information by spotting the icon appearing below the picture. Pinterest will also be updating older pins of users so they find them useful too.
