Pictures Leaked of the BlackBerry Touch Monza

The last we read about any BlackBerry was when RIM cut rates of the Curve which was about a couple of weeks back. Now there are some leaked images of the BlackBerry Touch Monza. The smartphone that was earlier referred to as the Monaco seems to have two versions, with Monaco heading to Verizon while the Monza being global.

There’s not much news on the specifications of the Monza but it looks like RIM will be ditching their SurePress touch interface (which they had earlier used in the BlackBerry Storm) for this handset. The smartphone is also said to be running on BlackBerry OS 6.1 which will also have a new feature called as the BlackBerry ID. The concept is a plain and simple cloud-based functionality for users where all their data, contacts can be backed up and stored. Also, it can be pretty helpful for users who end up switching their BlackBerry devices.

So along with the price cut, that makes it two pieces of great news from RIM. Hopefully the Touch Monza launches officially soon and we get to see it here in India.
