Opera to Release Browser for Tablets at CES

Not content with having specialized browsers for Mobiles along with their PC browsers, Opera have announced that they will be revealing a version for Tablets at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Opera's tablet-ing it up

The Tablet-optimized Opera browser will let you browse the internet, check your e-mails and social networking sites on-the-go, without making you feel you’re using a ported software. “In 2011, tablets are a new must-have. Opera is creating waves with the first public preview of Opera for tablets,” said Christen Krogh, Chief Development Officer, Opera Software. “Opera for tablets brings the same trusted Internet experience to tablets and netbook PCs as users have come to love on their mobile phones and desktops.”

There’s a preview video out which showcases the browser running on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab and you can spot the familiar landing page for favourite websites. It seems to be running quite well, but we can’t tell for sure until we try it out for ourselves. Until CES then, but you can check out the preview video below.
