OnePlus 5 colour options teased; adds a new red and strange 'unicorn' finish

The excitement for the new OnePlus smartphone has begun and its not just the rumor mill, but the company itself. While we have seen multiple design renders with a vertical and horizontal dual-camera setup, we now have some teasers coming from the company as well as co-founder Carl Pei.

Just yesterday, the official OnePlus Twitter account posted a tweet saying "What 5hould the color of your next phone be?” The word '5hould' is a no brainer. Accompanying the tweet was an image with four color tabs including black, red, gold and a gradient tone which the company later referred to as 'Unicorn'.

Now a black or gold OnePlus 5 would not come as a surprise as we have seen these two colors on the OnePlus 3T. A red version is a high possibility considering how Apple wooed everyone with its Product RED iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

A few days back, OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had given out a hint as well when he tweeted "Why did the headphone jack cross the road?" Of course he was referring to the popular “why did the chicken cross the road” joke, but it could mean anything. Either the headphone jack remains and has been moved to the top or has been killed, which is going to disappoint fans for sure.

The OnePlus 5 is suppose to launch this summer so stay tuned for more leaks and speculation till the handset makes an official appearance.
