OnePlus 5, the successor to the highly praised OnePlus 3T is the most anticipated smartphone by the technology industry. The prolific leaker of upcoming smartphones, Evan Blass tweeted out the alleged specs of the upcoming device by OnePlus.
The tweet by Evan Blass, reveals that the smartphone will come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.3 GHz, 8 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage and an external memory card support, accepting cards of up to 128 GB. The specifications point out that the smartphone will come with a 5.5-inch 4K display panel with an effective resolution of 2560x1440. The smartphone will be powered by an bumped up 4000 mAh non-removable battery.

OnePlus 5 will come with Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box along with 4G-enabled Dual nano SIM card slots. The company has also packed 23 MP camera module on the back along with 16 MP camera module on the front. One interesting thing to note here is that the leaked specs do not mention a dual-camera setup on the back like the controversial leak that was reported some time back. Another thing to note here is that OnePlus 5 will come with Bluetooth v4.2 instead of the expected Bluetooth v5.
The smartphone will not ditch the 3.5-mm headphone jack according to the specifications.
One important thing to keep in mind as pointed by Evan Blass is that this specifications sheet was spotted on GearBest and OnePlus has not issued any official statement about the specifications of the upcoming device. So we should take the leaks with a grain of salt as they may change in the final product. The smartphone was confirmed to be coming in summer along with the name OnePlus 5 instead of OnePlus 4 as reported previously.
