New projects in sight for Jon Von Tetzchner
The Opera desktop browser was the first tabbed browser back in the 90s itself. It has seen major growth, but hasn’t been able to grab a significant market share like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. However, the Opera Mini browser for mobile devices and tablets dominate the market. There is no clear information on what the disagreement may have been about but it appears that the board and Tetzchner had different opinions on the direction to be taken with the development of their browsers.
