One new mention: Tweet from your baby's soiled diaper

So you’re busy tweeting about how boring lunch was with your mother-in-law or how sad you are that Mihir died in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi for the fifth time and suddenly you get a mention on the micro-blogging site. It’s your toddler’s diaper. Yes, you read that right. Your toddler’s diaper will tweet to you, letting you know that it’s time you shut your PC and change your baby’s pee-filled diapers.

Huggies has come up with a great new way for social media obsessed parents to keep a check on their toddlers diaper hygiene without really sacrificing on Internet time. In all seriousness, there are young parents who are up to their neck in work when they’re not up to their neck in baby duties and having an alert will probably help them balance their professional and private lives better.

Dubbed "Huggies TweetPee" (we see what you did there, Huggies) it is a small, bird-shaped sensor device that you can attach to your baby's diaper. What it essentially does is senses that there has been a change in humidity and moisture levels. It then proceeds to send a tweet to your account, it's your call then whether or not to let your followers know that your baby has been regularly using up diaper packs.

That's not just it. There is also an app that you can get to complement the tweet that will inform you about diaper statistics to appease the professional in you. The app will let you know how many diapers your little one has been consuming, so you know exactly how much to stock up on when you go for that vacation or need to tell your spouse how many packs of Huggies to get from the supermarket.

Interestingly, the system seems only available in Portuguese for now, so don't panic if you get tweets from your gurgling baby in a different language. We doubt there are weirder things in the social networking world than receiving tweets from a wet diaper. In case there are, you will always find a story here at tech2!
