Gaming tournaments in India are still in the nascent stage when compared to other countries. But it looks like NVIDIA has decided to take up the challenge and bring together gamers around India to compete in Virtual Warfare.

The NVIDIA Gaming League, or NGL for short , starts today and invites gamers to compete against each other in over 20 gaming cafes throughout the country. The game of choice is Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and every match will include 24 rounds, where each match will be played in a group of eight players.. The player who wins the maximum number of matches will qualify for the finale, which will be held on the 1st of May, 2011, while the NGL finals will be held at the BYOC Summer 2011 on 25th June, 2011 in New Delhi. The lucky winner of the NVIDIA Gaming League will win prizes worth Rs. 1 lakh from NVIDIA.
