Now, book PVR tickets on BookMyShow

Moviegoers who use BookMyShow to get tickets can now book seats in PVR cinemas after the two companies signed a partnership deal. The deal means the online ticketing service will sell tickets worth over Rs 1,000 crore over the next five years.

According to NextBigWhat, a statement from Bigtree Entertainment, the holding company of, said PVR cinema tickets will be sold across the website’s existing channels. This includes the web portal, the mobile apps and any other affiliate channels.

PVR Cinemas had been missing from BookMyShow’s extensive list of theatres despite being listed in the early days. Eventually, users did get show timings for the many PVR halls around the country, but could not book tickets through BookMyShow. Venture fund Accel Partners had picked up a stake in Bigtree Entertainment last year for a total of Rs 100 crore. Earlier this year, BookMyShow acquired Chennai-based Ticketgreen, which had ticket inventory for 100 cinemas in southern India and this latest partnership has also bolstered BookMyShow's ranks.
