Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone 8-running Lumia 920 has seen a steep drop in price and is now available for Rs 31,999 at most online retailers, including Flipkart and Infibeam. The deal is sweeter when considering that Nokia DT-900 wireless charging plate is also included in the deal.
The Lumia 920 was previously priced around the Rs 36,000 mark and is currently available for Rs 32,639 on Nokia’s e-store. The price drop could also be a reaction to the launches of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One, both of which are the 920’s chief Android competition.
Nokia Lumia 920 looks enticing with this price drop
The price of Rs 31,999 sounds great to us, especially considering the Lumia 920 has some of the best specs for a Windows Phone 8 device. The 4.5-inch IPS display with a 1280 x 720 resolution employs Nokia’s ClearBlack technology ensuring deep contrast. The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 processor and has 1GB RAM. There should be no glitches in performance.
But the biggest selling point for the Lumia 920 is undoubtedly the camera goodies that Nokia has managed to pack in. The 8.7MP Pureview camera delivers some of the best low light shots and its optical image stabilisation engine works wonders when it comes to shooting rocky videos or even quick burst shots.
The price cut could also be a move by Nokia to make inventory space for its Lumia 925 smartphone, which is a design refresh of the Lumia 920. The aluminium-clad Lumia 925 has the same specs as the Lumia 920, but is generally said to have a better unibody design.
