Back in late September, Nokia had announced three handsets - the 701, 600 and the 700. The Nokia 701 had been made available at the time of the announcement, while the remaining two were expected to hit shelves by October. Come November, and there seems to be no sign of the handsets. Confirming this is a report in BGR.in, which states that the Nokia 600, one of the company’s first Sybian Belle handsets has been cancelled. The website goes on to mention that Nokia has removed all traces of this model from their websites, not only in India, but also elsewhere in the world.
Will never see this handset
According to a tweet by Eldar Murazin, an analyst familiar with all things related to mobile technology, the Nokia 600 has been cancelled due to the fact that operators have denied buying any phones from Nokia. BGR goes on to mention that though all information about this handset has been removed by the company, they have not released an official statement regarding the same.
The report further goes on to add that the possible reason behind the cancellation of the Nokia 600 could be because it shares nearly similar specifications to the recently announced Nokia 603. As of now, there is no information on what is the fate of the Nokia 700. We do hope that this NFC-equipped smartphone doesn't meet the fate of the 600.
