When the Galaxy S II was announced, Samsung didn’t give out any information about whether the smartphone would be NFC-capable. However, it looks like the phone will boast of Near Field Communcation support after all, but only one particular version will.
NFC? No problem!
According to Mobot, an NFC-enabled version will be making its way to the UK in June, but it’s unclear whether it will replace the currently retailing models or sell alongside them. Either way, it’s a step in the right direction, even if the early adopters of the Galaxy S II will be left a little frustrated by this development.
In other news, it looks like the NVIDIA Tegra 2 variant of the smartphone will be making its debut soon, even as folks over at XDA overclocked the Exonys variant up to 1.5GHz and got some pretty impressive benchmark results. Check out the video below to see more.
