New Coolpad device codenamed THD-M0 spotted on TENAA with 2 GB RAM

Coolpad seems to be working on a new phone if reports are to be believed. The device codenamed THD-M0 has been spotted on Chinese regulatory website TENAA.

According to Android Headlines, which spotted the device on TENAA, the THD-M0 will be sporting a 5-inch HD display with a 1280 x 720-pixel native resolution. The phone will be powered by a quad-core processor running at 1.2 GHz with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded to 64 GB thanks to a microSD card slot.

There is an 8 MP rear camera which comes with an LED flash unit and on the front, you get a 5 MP selfie camera.

In terms of connectivity, you get Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth and a microUSB port. The phone is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

For all practical purposes, the Coolpad THD-M0 seems like an entry level device.

There are no details available as to when the device will launch or at what price. It will come in three colours, namely gold, silver and white.

Recently, Coolpad confirmed that it will launch the Cool Play 6 in Indian market on 20 August 2017. The Chinese smartphone maker revealed this on its Facebook page. The company initially launched the smartphone in China at CNY 1,499 (approx Rs 15,000).

In terms of display, Coolpad Cool Play 6 is likely to pack a 5.5-inch Full-HD display. The device is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. According to a report by GSMArena, the smartphone will pack 6 GB RAM along 64 GB internal storage which can be expanded through a microSD card. It will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
