Since Google+ released, a lot of the early adopters took to it like fruit flies to a banana. A lot of them claimed that the new network was a lot better than Facebook since there would no longer be status update after status update of their friends' latest agricultural achievements a la Farmville. Little do they know that Google has some tractors up its own sleeve. Previous inquiry into the site's code hinted that games were certainly a possibility, and now a fresh hint has come up.
The tractors are coming for you!
It's been reported that the Games Stream has been confirmed, by looking at certain words on the Google Plus Help pages. The words have since been removed but they essentially referenced a Game Stream and a different stream for finding game related updates. The exact words occur at the bottom of the post and they say, "If you're looking for updates shared from games, check out your Games Stream". Of course, like Facebook, it seems you will be able to control the incoming gaming news on Google+, however, let's see if games on Google+ also means notification nightmare. You know, where you get a dozen strawberry shortcake invitations from your friends at Cafe World.
What might be interesting to see additionally, is if and when a game like FarmVille does make it to Google+, will Google+ design its own currency like Facebook's Credits? Currently, in the Zynga game, Farm Cash has been replaced by Facebook Credits to purchase certain in-game advantages. It's only a matter of time before Google designs its own currency.
