Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus with 4G VoLTE and 6-inch display launched at Rs 7,499

Micromax has been out of action lately however the company today announced a new smartphone called the Canvas Mega 2 Plus. The handset is a successor to the Canvas Mega 2 which was launched last year.

The smartphone features a 6-inch IPS LCD display but has a low resolution of 960x540 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor which is paired with 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is at 16GB, which is further expandable using a microSD card.

On the camera front, the Canvas Mega 2 Plus features an 8MP rear camera with auto focus and an LED flash and at the front there is a 5MP camera for taking selfies and making video calls. Connectivity features include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM Radio and a microUSB port.

The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 3000mAh battery. The smartphone is being offered in black colour option and is available via offline stores for Rs 7,499.

At this price there are better smartphones in the market that offer better specifications first instance the Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime, Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus or even the Samsung ON5 Pro.
