After hitting shore shelves via third-party retailers, Micromax's Canvas Duet AE90 and Canvas HD Plus are now listed on the company's official site. The Canvas Duet AE90 is available online for Rs 9,299 and Rs 8,999 via different e-retailers, and the Canvas HD Plus listed at Rs 13,500. However, the official site doesn't mention any pricing details, so far.
The Canvas Duet AE90 sports a 4.5-inch qHD display featuring 540x960 pixels of resolution. It comes powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8625Q) processor along with 1GB of RAM. On the camera front, one can expect a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The 4GB onboard storage is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
The device is fuelled by an 1800mAh battery that promises up to 5.5 hours of talk time and 150 hours of standby time. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS and micro USB port.
The expensive of the two, Canvas HD Plus, is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It comes with a larger 5-inch HD IPS display with 720x1280 pixels of resolution. The display also gets a layer of Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz hexa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
Some other specs include 8GB onboard storage, microSD card support up to 32GB, 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera, 2-megapixel fixed focus front camera. and 2000mAh Li-ion battery.
