Needless to say, LinkedIn helps companies hire employees and also sells premium subscriptions. Its recruitment services are used by companies like HCL Technologies Ltd. and ING Vysya Bank Ltd., while its marketing products are used by Jet Airways and Volkswagen AG. To make recruitment simpler, it had even added the LinkedIn button and an app for mobile use.

"Mobile is a key part of the LinkedIn strategy and our products are available on every conceivable mobile device. It is our fastest growing segment," said Deep Nishar, Senior Vice President of Products.

LinkedIn believes that the swiftly increasing number of Internet subscribers in India and the acceptance of 3G services will further proliferate the usage.  LinkedIn is also said to be one of the closely watched social companies like Facebook and Twitter among others.
