We’ve been hearing about the Gingerbread update, since May for LG’s Optimus One P500 and that day has finally arrived. They took their own sweet time with it, but it’s here and there are many reports that the update is now available through LG’s desktop client only - no OTA update. It seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer as India hasn’t been graced with the update, just yet. It’s unfortunate that LG hasn’t included an OTA option, which means you’ll have to find yourself a PC or a laptop and do it through their desktop client.
Delicious Gingerbread on the way
Rumours has it that the Optimus 2x, as well as the Optimus 3D will be getting the much needed update very soon, maybe sooner than its scheduled October release. Android 2.3.3 will bring a much needed cosmetic and performance boost to these phones. Animations should be more fluid, battery life should improve, as well as other little tweaks should be made. In case you happen to get the update, leave a comment and let us know about any improvements you notice.
