The VR headset has a 5.5-inch (2560 x 1440 pixel) display and doesn't require a smartphone to stream content on the headset display. It will be available in the second quarter of 2018 and is expected to be priced below $400.
Lenovo said that it will also ship a Mirage Camera, which is a VR streaming camera, which is expected to priced below $300.
The Lenovo Mirage Solo is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM. It will let you add on an external microSD card for storage as well. The VR headset has a battery life of 7 hours and weights 645 g, a bit more as compared to the 404 g Google Daydream headset. It is also Lenovo's first standalone VR handset.
Mirage Solo lets you walk around in virtual space using an inside-out 'World-Sense' tracking. It has a space diameter of about 5 feet. HTC Vive lets you move up to 16 feet in comparison.
The Mirage camera to be shipped alongside the VR headset captures video in 4k and is also capable of live streaming videos in 3D. The 4-inch long and 2-inch tall VR camera comes with a 13 MP stereoscopic camera and wights around 141 grams.
