LeEco and Coolpad to release a Snapdragon 821 SoC sporting smartphone

Chinese smartphone maker LeEco has been the biggest shareholder in Coolpad since June this year. Also LeEco CEO Jia Yueting, is also the chairman of Coolpad. It has been close to three months since the launch of Coolpad Cool 1 Dual, the first phone to come out of this partnership. According to a recent TENAA listing, it looks like the two companies are releasing a new phone soon.

The TENAA listing spotted by GizmoChina, the two companies are set to release a flagship phone simply called Cool. This phone is expected to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC and either a 4GB or 6GB RAM variant. It will come with a 5.5-inch FullHD display.

The Cool smartphone is expected to come in three storage variants namely 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. It is also expected to sport a 4000mAh battery and run on Android 6.0.1.

On first glance, the rear side of the Cool smartphone looks quite similar to the LeEco Le Pro3On the rear side you see the Cool branding along with a 'LeEco Inside' tagline under it. There are visible antenna lines on the top and the base. The arrangement of the camera module and the fingerprint scanner reminds one a lot of the Le Pro 3.
