Konami has released a new trailer for its upcoming stealth game—Metal Gear Solid 5: Phantom Pain. The trailer, which is a whopping 9:15 in length, is the "Extended Director's Cut" version of the trailer that was shown at Microsoft's pre-E3 Xbox One press conference. Check out the lengthy trailer:
The difference between this trailer and the one shown during Microsoft's conference is that this one has some torture sequences at the start. Other than that, it's more or less the same trailer. This is also the first time we've heard the new voice actor for Snake—Kiefer Sutherland.
Metal Gear Solid 5 will bridge the timeline between Peace Walker and Metal Gear. The game may very well show how Big Boss creates Foxhound as well as his stronghold – Outer Heaven.
Kiefer Sutherland was announced as the new voice actor for Snake earlier this month. Sutherland is well known for his role as Jack Bauer in the show 24.

"The themes are a little different from previous games in the series," Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima said of Sutherland's casting. "We're taking on some heavy subjects, like race and revenge. As a result, I wanted Snake to have a more subdued performance expressed through subtle facial movements and tone of voice, rather than words."
According to Kojima, The Phantom Pain takes place in 1984, and he wanted an actor who could "genuinely convey" Snake as he would look and sound in his late 40s. In the game, Naked Snake, aka Big Boss, will be 49 years old.
"It's different from anything we've done before," Kojima said. "I felt that he was the perfect fit, in terms of age and performance," Kojima added.
