If you've ever wanted a replica of your face (you know, because you're a spy or just because the aesthetics of your face are such a favour to the world that more would reserve you a spot in the good books), a Japanese company will do it for you. Mind you, it isn't cheap! The company is called Real-f and specializes in making 3DPFs (3 Dimensional Photo Forms), which are basically copies of human faces in 3D. They make two types of replicas. The first is like a mask, which costs $3,920 (Rs.1,96,000) and for every additional copy of the mask, you shell out $780 (Rs.39,000). The other is an entire replica of your head, like a mannequin and that costs $5,875 (Rs.2,93,750) with copies being $1,960 (Rs.98,000).
Does this creep you out like it does me?
How they do it is they take pictures of your face from multiple angles they then imprint the image on vinyl chloride resin, which is stretched over a mold. The company says that this production technology is unique and allows for highly accurate image replicating, getting every last detail to even blood vessels in the eyes.
