Remember Avatar? Yes, the James Cameron movie which had incorporated the 3D technology and had the audiences’ worldwide gasp in awe. Well! James Cameron, the director has yet another project in his kitty. He now plans to bring the magic of the 3D technology onto the smaller visual medium – TV. He has now teamed up with cinematographer, Vince Pace and they together have formed the Cameron-Pace Group (CPG).
..3D like never before
The CPG, that was unveiled just this year at the NAB Show in Las Vegas, however, has a bigger plan in mind. They aim to incorporate the 3D technology into all spheres of media, including advertising. In addition to embracing the technology into all media spheres, they’ll also act as buffers that would help the currently sagging 3D industry. According to a report in PCMag, James Cameron has expressed a firm desire to banish all barriers that he believes is holding back the industry from absorbing the technology into their works.
The CPG has involved itself in scores of 3D projects, which include – ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’, ‘The Three Musketeers’, ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret’, ‘Life of Pi’, and ‘47 Ronin’. Now, that should make for an interesting spectacle.
