While the Galaxy S' successor, the Galaxy S II seems likely to hit India soon along with the Samsung Google Nexus S, it seems that Samsung still cannot get enough of its popular handset, the Galaxy S I9000. According to sources, the smartphone has appeared on a Russian site and is said to have some pretty good specifications.
Better than the Galaxy I9000..??
The Samsung Galaxy S I9001 will be powered by a 1.4 GHz processor by Qualcomm, which is said to be the first single-core processor to clock in at 1.4 GHz and according Qualcomm consumes the same energy as the current 1 GHz processors. The I9001 will run on Android Gingerbread but there’s no mention of whether it’s 2.3 or 2.4. Anyway, the specs of the I9001 are as follows:
- 4-inch Super AMOLED Capacitive Touchscreen with 16M colours
- 3G, Wi-Fi, A-GPS
- Bluetooth 3.0
- 5 Megapixel camera
- Front facing VGA camera
- 8 GB/ 16 GB internal memory
The I9001 might launch globally sometime this month and there’s no official word about the pricing so we might have to wait some more for full details about the I9001.
