Intex has launched its all-new Aqua Crystal Plus smartphone in India. The device is priced at Rs 6,799 and will be available in the black colour in offline stores.
The Intex Crystal Aqua Plus is basically a beefier variant of the Aqua Crystal which was launched earlier this year. The device was spotted on the Intex website. At its entry-level price tag, one cannot expect much when it comes to hardware, but Intex has tried to offer something better by focussing on the design instead.
The smartphone offers a glass and metal design. The front and rear panels are made of glass and a metal frame is sandwiched between them. This is something different indeed as one cannot expect too much creativity when it comes to the entry-level segment, in terms of design anyway.
Moving on, we have the hardware. There is 5-inch HD display (1280 x 720) on the front and a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset with a Mali T720 GPU inside. The chipset is coupled with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Also available is a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Coming to the cameras, the Intex Aqua Crystal Plus offers a 13 MP rear camera with an LED flash. The front facing camera is a 5 MP unit and you can click selfies and record videos with it.
Connectivity options include a dual SIM card slot that is 4G ready with VoLTE support, along with the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS options, as well as a microUSB 2.0 port at the bottom.
The handset runs Android 7.0 Nougat which is impressive for its price tag and is powered by a 2,100mAh battery, which, considering its low-powered chipset and 5-inch display, should not be much of a problem.
