If a report on Digitimes is anything to go by, then upcoming and once promising MeeGo OS may soon be on its way out, albeit temporarily, due to fizzling out enthusiasm. It all began in March 2010 when both Intel and Nokia decided to come together, and co-develop an innovation - MeeGo was born. However, the report reveals that in the backdrop of 'less than expected performance' results, Nokia, started showing more interest towards developing new technology powered by Windows Phone 7. MeeGo, since then, reportedly hasn't found many takers.
Interestingly, the same report states that Intel denies any plans of the discontinuation of the MeeGo OS, and added that it was still "committed to MeeGo". Now, only time will tell about the fate of MeeGo, if it will indeed be shown the door. What do you think?
