Smartphones fuelled with Intel processors have been making rounds for some time now and were predicted to appear in 2012. According to a report by NewsTonight, a recent announcement from Intel reveals that the company plans to release smartphones equipped with Intel Atom processors in the domestic of India, next year. These smartphones will be made available to purchase in India and South Asia.

The Intel Technology India and South Asia Sales Director, R Ravichandran informed, “Next year, you will see more models of Ultrabooks being launched. We expect sales volumes to go up. You will also see notebooks and Ultrabooks incorporate features of tablets and vice versa”.
He also disclosed that Intel has teamed up with MasterCard to provide Intel Identity Protection which will enable its users to reap the benefits of Intel’s smart technology. The company plans to profit on the widely popular mobile platform and the upcoming mobile e-commerce trend. Earlier, we saw Intel processors in renowned products, including Google TV, it now decides to embark upon the mobile journey.
