'India Against Corruption' now an app on Android and Ovi store

Taking down corruption and those corrupted has invariably become the mantra of new India. The nation, even after 65 years of Independence sees itself mauled by corruption. So, while the nation stands up supporting the maverick Anna Hazare in his quest, an app called India Against Corruption has already found its takers on the Android and Ovi platforms.

The app was introduced on the Android platform on August 6th, this year by a bunch of volunteers of the India Against Corruption (IAC) cause. The free IAC app on the Android and Ovi platform features a number of options. The icons on the app include: news feeds, videos of several aspects of the movement, an event calendar, information on Lokpal on ‘Info About Lokpal’, and alternatively all the latest updates on the movement on ‘Latest About Lokpal’. The app also features a Q & A section where all user-based queries are looked into. Volunteers can register themselves to provide their support to the cause.

As the cause gains prominence, which it has already in most parts, and considering the tech-savvy, gen-next India, one could expect more of such apps coming in, thereby waging the battle against corruption on different grounds.
